Their story
For years, Joanie and John tended vines and made a life around the rhythms of Napa. After fire changed the shape of that life, they found another piece of land and began the patient work of listening to it.
This is not a story about replacing what was lost. It is about friendship, accumulated knowledge, and the quiet courage of beginning again—one planting, one painting, one vintage at a time.
The vineyard
The plan begins below the surface: observing water, soil, wind, shade, and the plants already at home here. Each season will inform the next decision.
The vineyard is being shaped around restraint—building soil life, making room for beneficial insects, and farming at a scale where close attention is still possible.

John brings a lifetime of vineyard and cellar experience to a new piece of land. His approach is practical, observant, and rooted in the belief that wine should carry the character of its season without being overworked.
